HLH Ranger, Andy, will conduct a 1-hour talk about our local and national bird population as part of our ‘Bird Day’.
ABOUT THE CLASS
As part of our ‘Bird Day’, we’ve arranged a Bird Talk with Ranger Andy in the Water Room at Ferrycroft Visitor Centre, focused on our feathered friends in the Highlands! 12 pm – 1 pm on Wednesday, 3rd June 2026.
Join Andy for an informative presentation on the diverse birdlife found throughout the Highlands and the wider United Kingdom. This session is designed for anyone interested in learning more about our native species, from common garden visitors to the specialist birds of the Scottish north.
Ranger Andy Summers brings a wealth of expertise to this talk, having worked extensively with breeding eagles and a wide variety of owl species and other wildlife. He will discuss the behaviours and habitats of local Highland birds and examine the broader trends affecting avian populations across the country.
Please feel free to ask him any burning questions you may have!
High Life Highland’s Countryside Rangers run many events and guided walks which aim to help raise awareness and encourage appreciation of the scenery, wildlife and heritage of the Highlands.
