  • The Halladale & North Coast Touring Park

The Halladale & North Coast Touring Park

We are a small family run Motorhome/Caravan Touring Park with Glamping Pods and a Licensed Cafe/Bistro. We also have a small convenience store on site, we welcome dogs and have a small play area for the children. We are located on the North section of the NC500 route, overlooking the beautiful beach of Melvich.

LICENSED CAFE/BISTRO WITH MOTORHOME, CARAVAN, CAMPING PARK AND GLAMPING PODS ON NC500 ROUTE

The Halladale Inn was developed from an original old crofting house built in 1882 which is now a licensed cafe and bistro supporting regulars from across Caithness and Sutherland and tourists and visitors from further away, especially those completing the North Coast 500 route.

'The Cafe/Bistro' provides everything you need for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner or just pop in for a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a cake. Please go to 'The Food' section on our website to find our current menus.

Being fully licensed, we offer beer, wine and spirits, including rums, whiskys and gins from distilleries very local to us. Please go to our 'Our Licensed Cafe & Bistro' on our website to find out our current opening hours.

Also on site we have our own motor home, caravan & camping park with glamping pods called 'The North Coast Touring Park'. You can plug in your motor home/caravan, pitch your tent or come glamping with us with all the facilities of 'The Halladale Cafe and Bistro' on your doorstep overlooking the beautiful bay of Melvich.

We have 2 sizes of Pods which accommodate between 2 - 7 adults in each. You can browse for availability and prices on our website by going to the 'Our Touring Park & Pods' section. We are open for 10 months of the year from 1st March until Christmas.

Our toilet and shower block is open to all our visitors and is clean and spacious. It also houses a laundrette with washing machines and tumble driers; and a washing up room with 2 large sinks, iron, ironing board, fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle.

Finally, our reception area and our well stocked shop is open from 9am until the restaurant closes, where you can buy all your essentials along with local gifts to take home as souvenirs and we even have an off license. We are dog friendly on both our touring park and restaurant and even have a small play area for the children.

We really hope you will come and visit us soon.

Tim and Madeline (Maddi)

Owners.

Food & DrinkThe Halladale Inn was originally an old crofting house dating back to 1882. The old building was refurbished and extended as we see it today in 1981. We have plenty of space in our cafe and bistro areas to accommodate both regulars and visitors alike but it is advisable to book a table in the busy summer months. After your meal why not take a leisurely stroll to Melvich's stunningly attractive sandy beach nearby. See our website for opening times.
