Highland Luxury Cottages
Highland Luxury Cottages provides the ultimate 'get away from it all' holiday! Each lodge and cottage has a hot tub where you can relax and take in the views of the countryside. Alternatively, you can relax, with a drink of your choice, on the decking after a day of sightseeing or walking.
The lodges and cottage sit on hundreds of acres of crofting land where the owner's sheep and cattle roam freely. Some of the wildlife you may encounter includes osprey, deer, pine martens, red kites, golden eagles and curlews.
Osprey Lodge & Red Kite Lodge
Osprey Lodge and Red Kite Lodge have elevated positions that provide breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and mountain ranges. Situated on a working croft of 300-acres, where sheep and cattle roam freely, the lodges provide the perfect base to explore the Highlands at your leisure while relaxing either in front of a log burner or in the private hot tub. The lodges also have stunning views of the Highland mountains, including Ben Kilbreck.
The lodges are very well appointed with all the accommodation being on the ground floor. The living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan with patio doors leading to a raised decking area where a private hot tub can be found.
The living areas have a wood burner, 40″ Freesat Smart TV, DVD player and double sofa bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements). The kitchen has numerous appliances including and electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher with a separate utility area that houses a freeze, washing machine and a tumble dryer.
The two bedrooms, which again are beautifully appointed, have a king-size bed and 32″ Freeesat TV in each. The wet room, which is wheelchair accessible, has a claw foot bath and an accessible wet room walk-in shower.
Capercaillie Cottage
Capercaillie Cottage is also situated within the croft. It is over 200 years old, and it, together with the adjacent stone barn, has been totally transformed into a romantic getaway with many unique features.
It offers a log burner to keep you cosy at night, a secluded hot tub for up to 4 people overlooking the hillside for miles around and a contemporary living space.
When you enter the cottage, you are met with a stunning main living area which is completely open-plan. To one side is the lounge with the large log burner and comfortable chairs and sofa to lounge in. On the other side is a handmade kitchen offering a full range of appliances. To the rear of the kitchen, there are very low double doors that lead to the ground-floor en-suite bedroom. You can also access this bedroom from a part-covered walkway which is advisable due to the height and depth of the internal doorway.
This charming bedroom boasts a lovely claw-foot bath as well as an en-suite. Outside, at the opposite end, there is a shower room that can be accessed from the part-covered decking.
The second bedroom, which is in a converted byre, can be found a very short distance away (approx. 20 metres) and has a four-poster bed. It is like the main cottage; it enjoys stunning views.
The cottage and barn are set on one-acre grounds, which has an ornamental garden. Please note that due to the distance between the byre and the main cottage it may not be suitable for people with young children.
Capercaillie cottage and barn are furnished to a very high standard and provides and warm, friendly, and unique experience that you will remember for years to come.
