Dunnet Bay Accommodation

Four traditional farm properties: the Old Farmhouse, accommodating up to nine, and three cosy cottages sleeping up to four each with dedicated outdoor space and an additional communal sheltered garden with BBQ'S and firepits. We are dog friendly (extra charges/ rules apply) with a shared dog walking field. Secure storage available for motorcycles or bikes.

Located on a working farm, our holiday lets are beside the NC 500 route as well as having the National Cycle Route 1 pass the door.

A short drive takes you to the Castle of Mey and we are very well located for all ferry links to Orkney, 30 minutes to the John O' Groats Ferry for Orkney day trips or wildlife tours. Stunning Dunnet Beach is just at the end of the road and the sheltered walks of Dunnet Forest are minutes away by car. Dunnet Head is a close drive away.

Other local attractions include North Coast Watersports (based on the farm), Castletown Heritage Centre, Dunnet Bay Distillers, Mary Ann's Cottage, St Johns pool (accessible bird hide) and CoCo Chocolatier.

THURDISTOFT FARMHOUSE

This was the original farmhouse, very traditional, sleeps up to nine in five ensuite rooms, games room with pool table, safe enclosed garden to rear. Overlooking Dunnet Bay and Dunnet Head with stunning sunsets during the summer.

Bike/drying shed for surf gear etc. Shared car park, dog field and communal garden with our other lets.

BAYVIEW COTTAGE

Guests with a disability will appreciate the recent improvements to the cottage including ramp access to the door, roll in shower etc.

The cottage enjoys fantastic views over the farm and Dunnet Bay. One kingsize double and a twin bedded room. Shower room with toilet and another bath/shower room with toilet. Kitchen/dining room and living room, utility room. Garage for bikes/ motorcycles.Private garden space and direct access to communal garden and dog walking field.

THURDISTOFT COTTAGES 1 and 2

Semi detached Cottages both have two ensuite double bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens, often rented out together for larger parties. Both feature cosy log burners, have dedicated outdoor seating and drying areas and access to the dog walking field and communal garden with BBQ'S and firepits.

BedroomThe farmhouse has 5 ensuite bedrooms with double beds (as one room does lack space, we call it a single). Bayview has two bedrooms, one kingsize bed and two single beds, the shower room and bathroom with overhead shower, are not ensuite, both have toilets. Cottage No.1 has two double bedrooms, both ensuite. Cottage No.2 has two double bedrooms, both ensuite.
