The Grain Store Restaurant at Stannergill Distillery

Located within the new Stannergill Distillery at the beautifully restored Castletown Mill, The Grain Store Restaurant offers a welcoming place to enjoy delicious Scottish food at the heart of Caithness. Whether stopping for coffee and cake, a relaxed lunch or an evening meal, guests can enjoy dishes created using the best local and seasonal produce.

During the day, delicious coffee, speciality teas and cake are available from 10am, either side of lunch. The seasonal lunch menu is served between 11.30am and 3pm and offers options for a lighter bite. On Sundays, an all-day menu is available until 7pm and includes a Sunday roast.

Dinner is served in The Grain Store Restaurant from 6pm until 9pm on Friday and Saturday, with a premium evening offering served in style by the team.

The drinks menu includes Stannergill’s own House Blend whisky, the award-winning Rock Rose Gin range, Holy Grass Vodka and Mapmaker’s Rum, alongside a fabulous wine selection and a special curation of soft drinks.

A visit to The Grain Store Restaurant can also form part of the wider Stannergill Distillery experience. Guests can explore the restored 19th-century Castletown Mill, join a guided distillery tour and tasting, discover the story of Stannergill Whisky and the Saga Series, and browse the Distillery Shop.

From May until the end of October, The Grain Store is open seven days a week. During the winter months, opening is reduced to Thursday–Sunday. Booking is recommended for lunch and dinner, and guests are asked to contact the restaurant directly for tables larger than six.
