A stunning coastal walk along the Assynt Coast.

Located on the dramatic coastline of Assynt in northwest Sutherland, the Old Man of Stoer is a striking 60-metre sea stack that rises from the waves near Stoer Head. A scenic coastal walk from Stoer Lighthouse leads visitors to this iconic rock formation, offering breathtaking views and excellent chances to spot whales, dolphins, and seabirds.

Stoer Lighthouse, built in 1870 by the Stevenson brothers, stands proudly on the headland and is now a holiday home. The area is remote and peaceful, making it a perfect stop on the North Coast 500 for walkers, photographers, and nature lovers.
