Explore one of Scotland’s most important peatland reserves on the Munsary Walk, a tranquil route through the heart of the Flow Country. Managed by the RSPB, this area is a haven for wildlife and a vital carbon store, making it a unique destination for nature lovers.
The walk offers open skies, sweeping moorland views, and the chance to spot waders, raptors, and other rare species. It’s an ideal spot for photography, birdwatching, and peaceful immersion in one of Europe’s last great wildernesses.

Getting there: Travel north on the A9 past North Rangag, then turn right at Achavanich onto the road signposted for Lybster. After approximately 820 metres, take a left onto a track, cross the cattle grid, and park near the sign on the right.
