Clach Mara Sauna – Mobile wood-fired sauna in Caithness
Clach Mara Sauna is a mobile, wood-fired sauna in Caithness, offering a unique wellness experience in wild and beautiful coastal settings. Inspired by Finnish tradition, our hand-crafted sauna blends heat, stone, and sea to create the perfect space to connect with nature, unwind, and recharge. Whether you're a local or visiting the far North, you'll discover the rejuvenating benefits of heat therapy in a truly memorable way.
The sauna seats 6–8 people comfortably and can be booked for communal sessions or privately — perfect for a couple, family, or group of friends. Children aged 12–16 are welcome with an adult family member or guardian present throughout the session; under-12s aren’t currently able to join under our insurance policy.
We’re based primarily at Castletown Beach, with occasional pop-ups and some trials at other scenic spots planned! New dates and locations are announced via our website and socials, with bookings, memberships, and community sessions all managed through our online booking system.
We run on Community Pricing for our regular open sessions — pay what feels right for you — plus a monthly free, donation-based Community Open Session supporting local charities, private sessions for your own group, and an optional membership for regulars.
