Assynt Highland Games
The Assynt Highland Games, known as the "Friendly Games" is held on the 2nd Friday in August every year at Culag Park in Lochinver. And promised a day filled with tradition, sportsmanship, and the incredible spirit of the Scottish Highlands.
The day commences with a Chieftain accompanied by the Pipe Band procession coming from the Lochinver harbour to our Culag Park field where the Games are held. The day follows with a variety of events filled with Track and Field competitions, Heavy Events, Highland Dancing, Solo Piping and Long Distance Hill running. The day closes with an Evening Ceilidh and live music at the Lochinver Village Hall.
With plenty of competitions, attractions and trade stalls, its sure to be a great day!
