ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us for a Woodworking workshop in The Cabin on Weds, 17th June to create your own Barn Owl Box. These boxes can be placed within a barn or the limbs of a tree.
This session will run from 10am-12noon, then there will be a half-hour break for a bit of lunch (please bring your own) from around 12-12.30pm, and the second session from 12.30-2.30pm.
During this 4-hour woodworking session in The Cabin at Lairg & District Learning Centre, you will develop your woodworking skills and build a beautiful birdhouse to take home. You will learn to use a variety of tools, including a drill, sander, and jigsaw.
Using recycled and reclaimed wood, our tutor will walk you through the steps to crafting various items. You’ll learn how to measure and cut wood accurately and safely, as well as sanding, planing, drilling and sawing.
No previous experience necessary – just bring yourself and your enthusiasm with you!
Self-service tea/coffee is available at the Centre.
