Developing the Young Workforce

The main aim of DYW North Highland is to build strong and sustainable partnerships between industry and education and prepare our young people for the world of work.  This initiative is available to all young people in education aged 24 and under, inspiring confidence and helping them gain the relevant employability skills, access workplace opportunities in order to develop lifelong career skills.  We will work in partnership with employers to help shape their future workforce.

Our Initiative has four key themes:

  • Strengthening business and education partnerships
  • Developing career and employability skills
  • Boosting employment and work experience
  • Advancing education pathways to employment

We are one of the sponsors for the Taste North Challenge Competition.  We will be available on the day to talk to parents, young people or employers about the initiative and how they can get involved.
