Caithness Broch Project (CBP) is a registered Scottish charity (SC046307) which seeks to develop Caithness as a heritage tourism destination through the promotion of its fascinating history and archaeology.
CBP aim to rebuild an iconic prehistoric structure – the broch. These are unique to Scotland, and Caithness can lay claim to having more brochs than anywhere else. The reconstruction would serve as a first class visitor attraction, vivid learning experience and ‘history hub’ for the county.
CBP are also working towards a number of smaller projects – ranging from improved interpretation, educational outreach events and a number of archaeological excavations – which will increase the awareness and interest in the archaeology of Caithness.
