Langhills is a beautiful house and an attractive option for families, as well as groups of friends.

Bed & Bath

The bedrooms are accessed via the staircases, both original features of the house and one a reminder of the bygone days when the house help used a different staircase.

Bedroom 1 has an en-suite bedroom with amazing views across Wick River and the surrounding area.

Bedroom 2 is a lovely room with a wrought iron small double bed.

Bedroom 3 is a large twin or king room with a claw-footed bath in the window area allowing you to relax and dream while looking out at the trees and skies of Caithness.

Bedroom 4 is a cosy room, tucked away by itself for peace and quiet.

Bedroom 5 is a fabulous attic conversion with its own bathroom featuring a claw-footed bath; enjoy the floor to yourself or tuck the kids away by themselves for an adventure.

There is a 3rd family bathroom with bath and separate shower on the first floor of the house.

Living Areas

The spacious living room has a large screen tv with wifi connection, a drinks cabinet (you fill yourself :-)) and an open log fire. Please ask if you'd like us to stock up wood for you.

There is a dining room seating 8 people and for those musically gifted guests enjoy a tune on the piano. Our reading room is filled with books if you've forgotten yours and an ideal place to sit and read or listen to music through our Bluetooth speaker table.

Tuck yourself away in the sun room and enjoy the wide open spaces beside our house, ideal for dreaming and planning. If the sun is beaming down on you open the 2 sets of doors or pop outside and enjoy the fresh air while you lounge on our garden furniture.

Tucked away behind the sunroom is the hot tub perfect for sitting in and watching the stunning sunsets we have in Wick.

Kitchen and Gardens

The kitchen is fully fitted and the main cooker is an Aga, supplemented with a wee oven and hob for those who aren't sure about the Aga. The kitchen table can seat 8 and there is an additional table in the small kitchen annex.

The gardens at the front and back of the house are large and perfect for sunbathing or for children playing outside.

As some of our reviewers say:

'It's a fantastic house, conveniently located for Wick and the ferry to Orkney. Lovely quiet location, an easy walk to town. It had a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, with lots of period features'

'Wonderful roomy house for a large group. Lots of space to come together, but the accommodation is flexible enough that you don’t need to spend every second together'

We are here to look after you when you want and we love having people enjoy the house, we sometimes have a couple of nights there ourselves when we can't take time to travel away :-)
