Invercassley Cottage Annex is in the small village of Rosehall, in the centre of the NC500 route and makes the perfect base for a touring holiday. Both East and West coasts are a 40-minute scenic drive away and the far north. 1.5hrs. It is available to rent on either a B & B or self- catering basis. The annex is attached to but totally separated from the owner’s house and is the perfect home away from home. It offers two double bedded en-suite bedrooms, a family bathroom, kitchen diner, guest lounge, access to a garden area and its own entrance. Guest lounge has a large selection of DVD’s, games, books, maps, and tourist information leaflets to plan your adventures. Secure storage for bikes is available in the owner’s garage. It offers stunning rural views and a garden full of birds and wildlife. Owners also offer guided wildlife tours form 2.5 hrs early morning or afternoon trips to whole day tours with high quality binoculars and telescope provided.
Food and Drink
B & B: We offer a wide-ranging breakfast menu using local or home grown produce and eggs from our ducks and hens. Fresh fruit, home made yoghurt, cereals and home-made bread are available every day. From a full cooked breakfast to a lighter menu including omelettes and Tracey’s award-winning pancakes we will make sure you are set up for the day after a hearty breakfast. Packed lunches are available to order. B & B guests are welcome to make use of the kitchen /diner to prepare lunch or evening meals or re-heat takeaways.
Self- Catering: The kitchen diner has tea/coffee/sugar in the cupboard and milk and butter in the fridge. A small welcome pack is also provided containing: a homemade loaf, cakes, jam & marmalade, hot chocolate, and a small tipple to welcome you on your first night. The kitchen diner is available for guests use and comes fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay.
If you do not fancy cooking in Rosehall we have Invercassley Stores and Tearoom (5 mins walk) which offers lunches and cakes during the day and a licenced bar and evening meals served until 8pm. They also offer takeaways to collect or delivered on Friday and Saturday evenings. In addition, the Achness hotel (10 mins walk) offers home cooked bar meals and a friendly welcome.
Ashley Smith (owner) offers guided wildlife tours of the local area from early morning & afternoon 2.5 hr trips to whole day tours of the area with lunch provided. High quality binoculars and telescope are provided.
