Dunbeath Heritage Centre offers an engaging approach to landscape interpretation - art installations, photography, unique ‘floor map’. Visitors explore a rich historical, archaeological and literary landscape, a pilgrimage of discovery along ‘Highland River’ made famous by Dunbeath-born author, Neil M Gunn.
This is an accredited museum & research area. Displaying Caithness archaeology from Neolithic tools, Bronze Age swords, pottery, Iron Age, Viking & Pictish and a Medieval coin hoard. Also available are local Genealogy records and history.
