Amongst Golspie's many attractions are the beautiful sandy beach it looks over, the castle of Dunrobin and the many walks , whether going up Ben Braghie or the Big burn walk which boasts a beautiful display of Bluebells in late spring.
On July 25-August 1 2015 is Golspie's Gala Week has for many years been the "homecoming week" for those who have had to earn a crust away from the village and it's also time to renew friendships with returning visitors and to make new friends with those here for the first time. It is without doubt one of the most successful events in the summer entertainment calender in the north.
Golspie Gala week is held at the end of July each year, an event that has been running for thirty five years now and goes from strength to strength each year. The Gala Committee work really hard throughout the year producing a programme of events for all tastes, if it is the golf competition, bowls competition, Ben Bhraggie hill race, fancy dress parade, wheelbarrow race or the massed pipe bands, whatever takes your fancy there is plenty to see and do. Visitors are welcome to participate or simply stand back and enjoy.
