Gentle Ranger ramble – a serene stroll through the incredibly beautiful land and seascape of Clachtoll and taking in the amazing wildlife of the place as we head towards the iron-age broch. Hear about the new discoveries of the recent excavation, stories of how the iron age people lived and catastrophic collapse that ended it all. Watch out for migrant birds and great northern divers and see signs of otters and maybe cetaceans. Bring packed lunch. This is a 4km walk. Meet at Clachtoll Beach car park. Any children must be accomanied by their parent or legal guardian. This event will be led by an experienced Countryside ranger who has up to date walking and first aid qualifications.
