Join me on a gentle walk in search of spectacular Emperor Moths on the edge of two splendid Sites of Special Scientific Interest (Ben Griams and Badenloch Bogs), notified because of unspoiled blanket bog with its associated special flora and breeding wading birds. We’ll be following a hill track, on gentle slopes, so walking is not too difficult. Three miles maximum. Time permitting, we might reach a spectacular highland loch. Birds we could see include Osprey, Golden Eagle, Greenshank, Golden Plover, Red Grouse and more. Spectacular scenery guaranteed. Cost £10 per adult, children free. No dogs please. Meeting point: the Garvault Hotel car park, located just off the B871 single track road, where there will be opportunities to purchase refreshments and a light lunch.
